The disused concrete water tower in Werribee stands as a poignant reminder of the town’s rich history, with its roots dating back to 1914.
Recently, this venerable structure has been revitalised, thanks to the Wyndham Community Arts Project, which was made possible through the generous funding the Andrews Labor Government provided.
Nestled on Tower Road, this 107-year-old landmark has been transformed into more than just a relic of the past. It now serves
as a vibrant canvas, showcasing impressive artwork that pays homage to the tower’s historical significance within the local community.
The artwork’s theme is deeply rooted in the area’s heritage, intricately weaving together elements that reflect the tower’s importance in shaping the town’s identity.
