In July 2017, artist Heesco Khosnaran painted the Weethalle silos with his remarkable artwork. This captivating mural serves as a heartfelt tribute to the rich agricultural heritage of the small town of Weethalle and the surrounding Bland Shire Communities.

As you gaze upon the mural, you will be greeted by a magnificent portrayal of key figures in the agricultural realm. A skilled shearer, a dedicated grain farmer, and a small flock of sheep stand proudly on a balcony positioned high above the land. Their watchful eyes symbolise the deep connection and diligent guardianship that the community shares over their beloved agricultural traditions.

The Weethalle silos themselves have a fascinating history, having been built in 1930. These towering structures stand at an impressive height of 21 meters, with a width of 31 meters. They proudly hold a staggering 2400 tonnes of grain, serving as a testament to the town’s vital role in the agricultural landscape.
