The Townsville Water Reservoir sits on Castle Hill (Not at the famous lookout though) and can be seen as you walk the streets of the central CBD. Access is via Sturt Street, then Jones Road.

It sits right on the edge of a section of Castle Hill and if you are afraid of heights or cliff edges as I am, photographing this site may be difficult for you. You can't step back to take a photo, there is no ground available.
