Artist Fintan Magee painted the GrainCorp Silos at Patchewollock in late 2016. They showcase a hardworking local named Nick ‘Noodle’ Hulland, embodying the quintessential Aussie spirit of the Wimmera Mallee region.
In his signature style, the artist employed a technique that imparts a weathered and timeworn appearance to the subject’s clothing.
Interestingly, this effect was present from the very first day of painting, with the scent of fresh paint lingering in the air.
These silos marked the second addition to the Wimmera Mallee Trail in Victoria and the fourth inclusion in the Australian Silo Art Trail.
