I was born in Odessa, Ukraine, into a family passionate about flowers and a tradition of growing fruits and vegetables to sustain themselves. My favourite childhood memories are from the dacha, where my grandparents built a small cottage and grew their own food, creating a peaceful retreat from the city. When I moved to Sydney at age seven, art—and particularly floral imagery—helped me connect with other children, even before I learned English.
Today, I create art using botanical themes, bold proportions, and a restrained colour palette to convey stories of the land and foster connections to nature in urban spaces. With a background in Interior Architecture in Sydney and Brussels, I’m drawn to the ways our environments shape us physically and mentally.
Through playful, immersive installations of oversized botanicals, I aim to transport viewers into a space that feels both like a playground and a sanctuary, inspiring them to embrace and care for the natural world.
