Kempsey’s Rudder Park has become home to a powerful symbol of hope, remembrance, and community support with the unveiling of a stunning Blue Tree mural. The mural was officially revealed on September 10th, 2023, in recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day.
This meaningful and impactful project, created by the talented artist Iknograffix in August 2023, was brought to life by Baylin’s Gift, with support from Kempsey Community Suicide Prevention (KCSP) and Kempsey Shire Council.
The mural, which features artwork on both sides of the structure, was designed to be interactive, offering the local community the opportunity to add their own personal messages of hope, remembrance, and support. The unveiling on Sunday, September 10th, coincided with World Suicide Prevention Day, adding significant weight and relevance to the occasion.
This mural stands as a lasting tribute to those affected by suicide and serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health awareness, support, and the power of community unity.
